Winter Wedding Heels That Make You Feel Like a Snow Queen Bride

Diamonds are a woman’s most faithful friend, but high-heels certainly make for a close second. And now that you have the rock on your index finger, it’s time to hit the ground running in search of the perfect pair of wedding heels shoes. “But winter spoils all the fun!” Funny how many times I’ve heard that line from brides. Worry not, my dear ones, because I have just the perfect pair of heels for your upcoming winter ceremony.Oops, I meant to say, I have six pairs of stunning shoes!

So, here are my favorites for the Winter 2011-2012 season with two over-the-top shoes followed by more budget-friendly models.

Christian Louboutin Big Dorcet from Net a Porter, $800

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous, but they should come with a warning sign attached. And here is why; short dress or not, make sure to bring your heels to your dress fittings, because the hem of the dress is definitely not the one and only consideration when it comes to heel height of your super-trendy shoes. For bridal shoes, comfort is the key! If you are not used to wearing ultra-high heels, do not make the most important day of your life the first day you are going to attempt to wear a pair of 5 inch heels. You need to dress for comfort. If you can’t dance in your shoes, you have wasted every penny. So, my advice to you (whether experienced with heels or not) is to wear these babies for your ceremony and (and photo shoot) and than literary kick them off and slip into a pair of ballerinas to dance the night away.

Miu Miu Satin Platform Pumps from Net a Porter, $470

For brides that are all about elegance and cuteness, these beautiful shoes are the best choice.

Norakaren Peacook Feathers & Crystals from etsy, $290

Wedding Heels are a big to-do for the modern winter brides. And that’s because what’s in when it comes to that walk-on-the-aisle is a heel that reflects bride’s personality. Usually the long dress will be covering the heels. However, with the fashion designers sending dresses down the catwalks with surprisingly short hemlines winter brides are getting shoes with higher and more embellished heels. Add some peacock feathers and voila – you got yourself a pair of eye-catching shoes for your winter wedding!

Casadei Triple Platform Pump from Amazon, $250

Parisxox Platform Peep Toe Swarovski Crystal Shoes from etsy, $152

Badgley Mischka Ina Pump from Amazon, $120

So, what have we learned today? When it comes down to finding those bridal shoes you simply cannot imagine marrying without, make sure they are comfy, that they match your dress, and that they unmistakably reflect your personality. Did I miss anything? Sound off in the comments below!
